REPORTERS IN THE LINE OF FIRE!
Journal Entry Question #10 for Journalism
Is it worth risking your own life, in order to get the scoop? That is the question at hand. Some people will put their lives at risk to get the right and proper side to a story. I am on the fence for this one, because it really depends on what kind of a person it is. Do they have a lot to lose in case anything does go wrong? Or do they simply live for work? Some people need a certain rush in their lives so that they can focus and work efficiently. So in that case they will do whatever it takes to get the right story. People with alot to lose, such as a family will more likely not take the risk to endanger themselves, but people that tend to have less to sacrifice, will probably go to furhter extremes. Although i do not agree with sacrificing your life for your job, somebody has to do it, or else we would never know the true story and I am thankful for those who do so. Maybe that is a reason why they do it, so that everyone will know the truth.
